Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about data recovery — pricing, timelines, privacy, pickup and what to do when a device fails.
General
4 questionsData recovery is the process of getting back files from a storage device that has failed, been damaged, formatted or had data deleted. Depending on the problem it may need software tools, firmware repair or clean-room work on the drive's internal parts.
We recover data from hard drives (internal and external), SATA and NVMe SSDs, laptops, desktops and MacBooks, pen drives, SD / micro SD / CF cards, RAID arrays, NAS boxes, servers and CCTV DVR / NVR drives.
Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. On Sundays we work on prior appointment. Urgent cases can always call or WhatsApp us.
No appointment is needed on working days. You can walk in with your device for a free evaluation, or request a free doorstep pickup from the website.
Pricing & Payment
7 questionsThe cost depends on the device type, its capacity and how badly it has failed - not on how much data you need. Logical problems cost the least; physical failures that need clean-room work and donor parts cost more. Use the Pricing Calculator for an instant estimate, and we confirm the exact price after a free diagnosis.
Yes. We diagnose your device free of charge and tell you the exact problem, the chances of recovery and the final price before any work starts. You are under no obligation to go ahead.
If we cannot recover the data you need, you do not pay a recovery fee. You only pay when your important files are recovered and verified by you.
UPI, bank transfer (NEFT / IMPS / RTGS), debit and credit cards and cash at the lab. GST invoices are provided for businesses.
Cost depends on the complexity and extent of the damage — whether it's logical, firmware, or hardware related. After a free evaluation we give you an upfront quote, and the final cost never exceeds that confirmed price.
Yes. Before any recovery work starts, we run a free evaluation (about 15–30 minutes) and share the estimate with you first.
No. Whether you need everything on the drive or just one folder, the recovery cost is the same — it's based on the device and damage, not the data size.
Recovery Process
4 questionsSimple logical cases are often done in 24 to 72 hours. Physical cases that need parts or clean-room work usually take 3 to 7 working days. Express service is available for urgent jobs.
Switch it off and stop using it. Do not run recovery software, do not open the drive and do not keep powering on a clicking drive - every attempt can cause more damage and reduce the chance of recovery.
Yes. After recovery we share a file list or let you check the files at the lab so you can confirm that your important data is back before you pay.
We copy the recovered data to a new healthy drive (yours or one bought from us). For small amounts we can also share it through a secure, password-protected link.
Privacy & Security
2 questionsYes. Your device is handled only by authorised engineers, we never open or share personal files beyond what is needed to verify the recovery, and we can sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement on request.
Once you confirm you have received your data, the working copy on our systems is securely erased. On request we can give you a written data destruction confirmation.
Pickup & Shipping
2 questionsYes, free doorstep pickup and drop is available in our service area. Request a pickup from the website or call us, and our team will arrange a time with you.
Yes. Pack the device as shown in our Packaging & Shipping Guide, include your name and phone number inside the box, and courier it to our lab address. We will call you once it arrives.
Devices & Failures
4 questionsIn most cases, yes. Clicking usually means a head or firmware problem. Turn the drive off immediately - each power-on can scratch the platters. Our clean-room team can replace the heads and recover the data.
Not necessarily. SSDs often fail because of controller or firmware problems, and the data is still on the memory chips. We use specialised equipment to repair the firmware or read the chips directly.
Usually yes, as long as new data has not been written over it. Stop using the device straight away and do not install recovery software on the same drive.
Often yes. Do not try to power it on or dry it with heat. Put it in a sealed plastic bag and bring it to us as soon as possible to prevent corrosion.
